First of all, we will start with 15mm thickness-

15mm thickness is not suitable for kitchen countertops because it is very thin and looks very bad on modular kitchen. Moreover, 15mm do not give requisite strength required for the Indian Kitchens. So, we should avoid 15mm thickness for countertop purpose in any case.

18mm thickness is preferred choice:

18mm thickness is considered as the best thickness for countertop because it is laid over 18mm wooden plyboard that increases its strength and durability. 18mm thickness is preferred choice among the architects, interior designers and home owners for their projects.

20mm thickness is not suitable for Indian Kitchens:

20mm thickness is not considered good for kitchen countertops because it becomes too heavy as compared to 18mm thickness. Moreover, laying 20mm quartz stone over 18mm wooden plyboard is not feasible. The installer need to uplift the 20mm stone by 2mm to maintain the quartz stone installation. So, 20mm is not preferred for the kitchen countertops.

Therefore, 18mm is considered Best among the15mm, 18mm and 20mm quartz countertop thickness. Moreover, 18mm is suitable for Dining Table Tops, Vanity Tops, Lift Loby, Wall Cladding, etc.
